’27 Pushing 68′: Trump’s Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Slammed Over New Photos as Critics Say She Dresses Like Her 60-Year-Old Husband’s Twin
Trump’s White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt probably didn’t expect her latest Instagram post to spark a fashion firestorm. What was meant to be a harmless behind-the-scenes glimpse into her professional life quickly turned into a full-blown social media debate.
The online conversation had little to do with her policy work — most of the noise was about her pink tweed outfit.
Leavitt, 27, is the youngest person ever to serve as White House Press Secretary. Yet, despite her age and generational ties to Gen Z, she’s being called out for fashion choices some say make her look decades older.
Karoline Leavitt, 27, is criticized for dressing old due to her Trump administration job and 60-year-old husband. (Photo: @karolineleavitt/Instagram; img.escape/Instagram)Her recent post, which shows her confidently walking into the White House in a hot pink tweed dress and matching shoes, reignited a recurring conversation about whether her style reflects personal taste or the influence of her relationships and surroundings.
The people in the comments didn’t hold back.
“Ahh look another grandma outfit for her old man!” one person commented, taking a jab at her 60-year-old husband.
Another joked, “Go take care of your Grandpa…sorry I meant your sugar daddy.” A third wrote, “27 pushing 68.”
The feedback kept pouring in, with one observer posting, “My mom is 80 and has that dress Karoline,” while another summed it up: “It’s giving grandma.”
Some even criticized how she walked writing, “Walking in like a BOSS!!” while others said, “I just tripped looking at her spacing of her walk MAGA.”
“She doesn’t rock that outfit like a grandma though… very cool outfit,” wrote one defender.

The criticism didn’t come out of nowhere.
Leavitt’s visual evolution has been drastic — and very public. A resurfaced photo from her pre-Washington days has now gone viral, with fans and critics alike questioning whether they’re looking at the same person who now commands the White House briefing room.
The image, showing a carefree then-25-year-old at a basketball game, has sparked intense debate about transformation, authenticity, and the pressures of political stardom.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by KAROLINE LEAVITT (@karolineleavitt)
She originally posted the image on Instagram on May 27, 2023, during Game 6 of the Boston Celtics versus Miami Heat Eastern Conference Finals at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The Celtics won that night by just one point — 104 to 103 — with a buzzer-beater that saved them from elimination. (The Celtics subsequently lost Game 7 at home.)
But Leavitt wasn’t the story then — her outfit is now. Standing in a suite overlooking the arena, she wore white jeans, a bright green tank top, sandals, and carried a small cork purse. Her blond hair hung straight, her skin noticeably sun-kissed. It was Miami in full effect.
That beachside, laid-back version of Leavitt now feels miles away from the polished, monochromatic political persona she’s carefully crafted.
The contrast is so stark, people are speculating whether this makeover is about more than personal growth. Some believe it’s tied to her new marriage to real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, who is 33 years older. Married for less than a year, the couple’s age gap has fueled suspicions that Leavitt’s fashion evolution is more about adapting to a social circle than professional demands.
Her current wardrobe leans hard into matronly silhouettes, oversized dresses, and head-to-toe black — choices that many say visibly age her. One two-photo collage shared online, showing Leavitt in 2021 versus 2025, drew thousands of reactions.

DO NOT REPOST, @PressSec does not want people seeing this. pic.twitter.com/MMC0o4w3oW
Still, she has supporters. Some see her style as fitting for her role.
“Her dress is perfectly respectable for the white house! Leave her alone,” one user insisted. And not everyone is throwing shade.
But it’s not just the tweed that’s keeping Leavitt in the spotlight.
A recent post from June 28 shows her posing in the Oval Office wearing a sleek black dress and matching pumps, her back turned as she glanced over her shoulder. The caption read: “Have a great weekend, everyone!” While some praised the look, others took it in a different direction, drawing a shocking comparison to Monica Lewinsky.
Whether praised or picked apart, Karoline Leavitt is being watched closely — not just for what she says behind the podium, but for every stitch of fabric she wears. She may be the face of Trump’s communications machine, but in the court of public opinion, she’s also become a case study about how young women in power are often judged by their looks just as much as their words.
‘They Should Be Made Public’: Two California City Councilmen Admit Ties to Secret Racist Group Chat Where N-Word and Other Slurs Were Traded, But City Hall Won’t Release the Texts
Two California city councilmen are under fire after they admitted to being part of a group chat where messages were exchanged that featured derogatory slurs referring to Black people and Mexicans.
Peter Ortiz and Domingo Candelas, members of the San Jose City Council, are the two city officials at the center of the backlash.
Peter Ortiz and Domingo Candelas are facing backlash over group text were racial slurs were used. (Credit: Screengrab Teamsters853.org)News of their involvement in the racist group chat first came to light after the San José Spotlight reported that the two had been involved in the inflammatory chat that included other city officials and community leaders.
The chat was reportedly named “Tammany Hall,” after the Democratic political organization that dominated New York City politics in the 19th century and assisted immigrants with jobs, housing, and citizenship in exchange for voting loyalty. The organization became known for condoning corrupt practices at the direction of political bosses who operated behind the scenes, most notably William M. Tweed.
Participants in the group chat that included Ortiz and Candelas traded texts that used the N-word and referred to Mexicans as “scraps,” a derogatory term used to refer to Southern California gang members. Some texts also reportedly belittled specific neighborhoods and schools in low-income areas.
The texts were discovered on the confiscated phone of disgraced San Jose councilman Omar Torres, who recently pleaded no contest to three counts of felony child molestation.
Other than Ortiz and Candelas, Candelas’ chief of staff, the Working Partnerships USA Transportation Policy Director, and the community relations manager for the San Jose Downtown Association, who is also Ortiz’s partner, were also members of the group chat.
Following meetings with local NAACP members, the councilmen confessed to their involvement in the group chat at a news conference.
“These past couple weeks I have been meeting with several community organizations affected by these alleged messages and I’m working toward a path forward, rooted in understanding and empathy, but more importantly a commitment to social justice and healing,” Candelas stated, per KNTV.
“I will continue to always ensure Black and brown residents have a real seat at the table in every decision made at City Hall,” Ortiz added.
It’s unclear what language the councilmen used in the chat, but Ortiz denied using racial slurs or making demeaning remarks about the Mexican community.
“We had group threads, but there was never anything talking bad about African-Americans,” Ortiz told San José Spotlight. “I for sure didn’t. I don’t know anybody else who did.”
San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and community activists are now demanding the release of the texts as part of calls for full transparency and accountability.
“These are serious allegations and, to the extent that this language was used in the course of city business or to describe constituents, the people of San Jose have a right to know what their elected representatives are saying,” Mahan said. “I’m especially concerned by the claim that some in City Hall subsequently tried to shield these messages from public view by claiming they are essential to an ongoing investigation. If the texts fall under the city’s usual standards for public disclosure, they should be made public to maintain trust with our community.”
“We need to get complete accountability for what occurred,” Sean Allen, president of NAACP of San Jose/Silicon Valley, told KGO. “And we need to make sure those seats are filled with people who will represent the community as a whole without bias.”
Some supporters of the council members believe that the law enforcement sources who revealed the chat’s existence to the San Jose Spotlight are seeking to instigate conflict for political gain.
“Some of the loudest calls for punishment (of Ortiz and Candelas) have come from individuals and institutions with no demonstrated concern for equity,” Allen, a former sergeant with the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, said. “On the contrary, some of them have acted and continue to benefit from policies that harm the Black community. It is not lost on us that these alleged text messages were leaked with the intention of creating conflict between our communities.”
‘Something Is Off’: Rachael Ray’s Appearance In New Video Has Viewers Claiming ‘She Does Not Look Well’ Amid Concerns About Her Health
Social media users are piling on Food Network star Rachael Ray amid ongoing concerns about her well-being. For months since Ray released a promo clip for her latest show “Rachael Ray In Tuscany” last summer, fans have grown worried about the status of her health.
Changes in her physical appearance and sometimes slurred speech have fueled speculation of an undisclosed medical condition and rumors she may have had a stroke.
Ray, 56, recently stepped out in New York City to promote her Staple Gin on June 28, where she continued to raise eyebrows. The “$40-A-Day” host promoted the gathering on Instagram and in the caption she wrote, “Don’t miss your chance to raise a glass with me (and some of my friends).” Attendees were able to purchase signed bottles of the spirit, too.
Rachael Ray’s drastic transformation since 2022 continues to raise eyebrows amid fans’ increasing concern about her health. (Photo by Neilson Barnard/Getty Images for SOBEWFF®)The post’s accompanying video showed Ray whipping up a meal and various scenes of her mingling with supporters at other outings to promote the liquor brand. Several followers expressed excitement over the chance to see her in person.
However, one person who remained vexed by her transformation asked, “Man what happened to her?”
Discourse about her appearance grew more critical when the Daily Mail reported that Ray’s happy-go-lucky demeanor had been interpreted as “bizarre” and that she arrived late to the event.
“What in the world had happened to her?” another critic unleashed in the comments about her attire.
“Whatever is wrong with her, it’s obvious she has totally given up on her appearance. No one looks that bad if they have a mirror and care about themselves at all. If she’s not in total denial, at minimum there’s a lack of pride and self-respect that would allow someone to leave the house looking like that and go in front of the public and cameras,” read one.
A second remark was, “Did she bother to look in the mirror before leaving? She looks old and disheveled.”
A third noted, “Sad. She does not look well. Something is off. It’s clear in her presentation. Wishing her well.”

Ray wore a black top with a tan casual blazer and pants. In her defense, someone wrote, “She looks like she’s lost weight when you see the blazer open as she is walking.” Others decided that her quirky behavior and looks were the result of “mental issues.”
An overwhelming amount of spectators believe drinking may be behind her concerning looks. Sad. She does not look well. Something is off. It’s clear in her presentation. Wishing her well.
Ray’s unrecognizable appearance has not prompted her to address the many narratives about her well-being. In the past, however, she has spoken about enduring a back injury and undergoing vocal cord surgery.
‘Creep Behavior’: Trump Ignored Warnings Against Commenting on ‘Beautiful’ African Reporter’s Looks During ‘Weird’ Oval Office Encounter; Critics Ask What ‘If Barack Did This?’
President Donald Trump blew up the internet after calling an African reporter “beautiful” during an Oval Office meeting Friday with officials from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda.
The DRC’s White House reporter, Hariana Verás Victória , was at the meeting with Trump following a peace treaty signing by DRC Foreign Minister Thérèse Kayikwamba Wagner and her Rwandan counterpart, Olivier Nduhungirehe.

The reporter told Trump that people in the DRC were grateful for the work he is doing to help bring peace to their country.

And Trump couldn’t help himself.
“That’s so nice,” he said, before mentioning he was asked not to comment on Verás Victória’s appearance. “That’s so beautifully stated. Karoline said this, number one, she did say that I shouldn’t say this because it’s politically incorrect, she said, ‘She’s beautiful.’ And you are beautiful!”
He said it anyway, and the reporter laughed at the compliment while others in the meeting smiled.
“I’m not allowed to say that, you know that?” Trump continued. “It could be the end of my political career, but I’ll say it anyway. You are beautiful, and you’re beautiful inside. I wish I had more reporters like you.”
As expected, a clip of the interaction went viral, and social media erupted.
“Trump weirdly calls a reporter ‘beautiful’ mid interview, despite warnings from his press secretary not to. Actual creep behavior,” a Reddit user said.
“If Barack did this… Lord have mercy,” one Instagram user said. “Before you easily impressionable folks think this is cute, imagine Obama calling a whyte woman reporter cute! Let me know how you think that would go! Stop holding him to a different standard!” another user wrote.
Also, during the meeting with Trump, Verás Victória told Trump that the president of DRC is considering nominating Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to bring peace to the region.
“They have hope now for a better day in Congo,” she told the President.
The Trump administration helped broker the peace deal, but questions remain about whether the agreement can help quell the decades-long violence in eastern Congo as a militia backed by Rwanda is still occupying parts of DRC amid violent and bloody clashes, according to CNN.
It’s unclear whether the militias have agreed to end the fighting and whether the two nations can help the U.S. government and American businesses access critical minerals in the region, NBC News reported.
‘This Isn’t Even Cute’: Ice-T’s Fans Urge His Wife Coco to ‘Cover Up’ After Sharing New Set of Risqué Photos Online
Ice-T’s wife Nicole “Coco” Austin, 46, embraced the summer season by recently sharing steamy new bikini pictures on social media.
Coco uploaded two photos of herself wearing a bikini while sitting on a beach chair on June 27. She captioned the two-slide carousel, “It’s that time a year again.”

(Photo by Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images)The blond bombshell’s husband, professionally known as rapper and actor Tracy Marrow, lovingly approved of the spicy snapshots by posting four red heart emojis in the comment section.
Other Instagram users also weighed in on Coco’s Instagram pics. Many of her followers offered praise to the former reality TV star.
“Hot damn Coco!!! You know how to get us all hot and bothered!! To follow you around with a camera… Yes, please!!” one woman commented.
Amid the praise was criticism about Coco’s revealing look as someone declared, “Not a good look. Cover up love.”

Coco doesn’t just use her Instagram page to show off thirst trap photos. She regularly uploads images of her husband and their 9-year-old daughter, Chanel Nicole, as well.
Earlier this month, she posted a throwback pic with Ice-T, 67, from the early 2000s to celebrate the nearly 25 years they’ve spent together as partners.

One of Ice’s friends introduced them as a way to try to cheer him up and keep him occupied. That initial encounter with Coco stuck out to the hip-hop legend.
“I turned around, and the first thing I saw was her teeth. Now, I’m keeping it 100, I looked at her teeth.” Ice-T explained during a 2017 interview.
Coco interjected asking if he wasn’t looking at her chest to which he said, “No, they were very soon afterwards. In the words of Iceberg Slim, ‘I struggled to remain calm.’”
Ice and Coco wed in a private ceremony at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve 2002. They renewed their wedding vows in June 2011.
Their daughter, Chanel Nicole, arrived in November 2015 and has since become quite the social media influencer on Instagram thanks to her mom and dad. As of this writing, she has 447,000 Instagram followers on her verified account. Her mom currently has 3 million followers on the platform. Ice-T’s page has 1.4 million followers.
The Austin-Morrow celebrity couple has also been featured on television. E! Network’s “Ice Loves Coco” reality show ran for three seasons from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Ice-T has been part of the NBC police drama “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” since 2000.
Before marrying Coco, Ice-T fathered a daughter named LeTesha Marrow (born March 1976) with his high school sweetheart, Adrienne. The Grammy Award winner has a son, Tracy Marrow Jr. (born November 1991), with ex-girlfriend Darlene Ortiz.
‘Should Have Never Been Cleared’: Atlanta Cop Who Fatally Shot Rayshard Brooks, After He Fell Asleep In Wendy’s Parking Lot on Paid Leave for Allegedly Assaulting Another Black Man
The Atlanta police officer who shot and killed an unarmed Black man who fell asleep in the drive-thru line at a Wendy’s restaurant in 2020 is in trouble again, this time for allegedly assaulting a bar worker in the city’s Midtown neighborhood.
The department has since put Officer Garrett Rolfe on paid administrative leave after he was involved in a bar fight early Sunday morning at the establishment called Midtown X.
Witnesses told local news station WSB-TV that Rolfe started the fight with a bar worker, Raefeal Penrice, over the price of drinks, but when police arrived, they only arrested Penrice.
Rayshard Brooks and Atlanta Police Officer Garrett Rolfe (Photos: YouTube screenshot/11 Alive)Rolfe’s attorney said the off-duty police officer was the victim, but witnesses, who wanted to remain anonymous, disagreed. They told WSB that Rolfe’s friend accused the bartender of overcharging for drinks. An argument followed, and Penrice escorted the two men outside.
That’s when bystanders say Rolfe attacked Penrice.
“This man was just doing his job. He watches the door and makes everyone feel safe, and I just can’t believe this has unfolded the way it has – and it’s scary – that law enforcement can do this,” a witness said.
Atlanta journalist Cody Alcorn talked with witnesses at X Midtown and reported that some wondered why Rolfe wasn’t taken into custody along with Penrice.
“Midtown bar owner questions why off-duty APD officer wasn’t arrested after punches thrown with employee over drink prices.”
“He’s such a nice guy – he’s always made everyone feel very safe and I think it’s absolutely heinous that after several eyewitnesses told the arresting officers that it was in fact the off-duty police officer who threw the first punch, yet he was still the one taken to jail,” the bar owner told WSB.
This isn’t the first time Rolfe has been placed on administrative leave. He was also placed on leave after fatally shooting 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks in the back in June of 2020, sparking widespread protests. The APD first fired the officer, then reinstated him pending the outcome of the criminal charges against him.
Rolfe was first charged with felony murder and five counts of aggravated assault, four counts of violation of oath of office, and one count of criminal damage to property, according to CNN.
The father of three young daughters and a 13-year-old stepson had fallen asleep in his car at a Wendy’s not too far from where he lived on June 12, 2020. When officers arrived, Rolfe and Officer Devin Brosnan spent about 40 minutes talking with Brooks, who was intoxicated at the time.
Body camera video shows that when they tried to arrest him, Brooks wrestled with the two officers and managed to grab Brosnan’s Taser. The video shows Brooks pointing the Taser behind him as he tried to flee the scene.
Rolfe then gunned Brooks down. Both Rolfe and Brosnan were arrested at the time and released on bond. Charges were eventually dropped against both of them.
People have never forgotten this case.
“Justice for Rayshard Brooks! The streets aren’t safe with this racist cop on them,” one user on X posted.
“Not this cop again,” another X user said.
“That cop should have never been cleared for that murder,” another post on X read. “How hard was it to get the man to move his car and not escalate this? Any one of us could have asked him nicely to get out of the fast food lane and he would have.”
‘That Ain’t Country Music’: Beyoncé Fans Rip Country Singer to Shreds After His Explosive Rant About Her ‘Cowboy Carter’ Album
Beyoncé‘s groundbreaking venture into country music continues to ruffle feathers within Nashville’s establishment, proving that her cultural impact extends far beyond the pop and R&B genres that made her a global superstar.
The Houston native’s “Cowboy Carter” album has shattered streaming records and claimed the top spot on country charts while igniting passionate debates about authenticity and the definition of country music itself.
Country singer Gavin Adcock sparked backlash after declaring in a profanity-laced rant that Beyoncé’s chart-topping “Cowboy Carter” album “ain’t country music,” highlighting ongoing tensions about authenticity and inclusion in the genre. (Photo by @beyonce/Instagram)The album made history as the first by a Black woman to reach number one on the Billboard Country Albums chart while simultaneously topping the all-genre Billboard 200. It broke streaming records on both Spotify and Amazon Music upon release.
However, not everyone in the country music community is celebrating these achievements.
Gavin Adcock, a 26-year-old country singer nominated for new male artist of the year at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards, is making headlines with a profanity-laden rant during a live performance targeting Beyoncé’s chart dominance.
Standing before his audience, Adcock complained about the three albums ahead of his on the Apple Music country charts, singling out the global superstar with particular venom.
Country artist Gavin Adcock slams Beyoncé after his album currently ranks below ‘COWBOY CARTER’ on the Apple Music Country chart:
“That s*** ain’t country music and it ain’t ever been country music, and it ain’t gonna be country music.” pic.twitter.com/rKwaqymt5t
“One of them [is] Beyoncé, you can tell her we’re coming for her f—king ass,” Adcock declared to his cheering crowd.
Adding, “That s—t ain’t country music and it ain’t ever been country music and it ain’t gonna be country music.”
The moment was captured on video and quickly circulated across social media platforms, sparking intense backlash and debate.
When The Neighborhood Talks posted the clip on Instagram, it sparked sharp criticism from the platform’s followers.
View this post on InstagramA post shared by The Neighborhood Talk (@theneighborhoodtalk)
“Imagine gentrifying somebody else’s musical heritage and then telling them that they’re not allowed to do it,” one user pointed out, highlighting the historical roots of country music in Black culture.
Another warned, “You gone perish coming for the Queen. Might as well dig a hole, Cowboy.”
Critics called out perceived racial undertones, with one commenting, “Sounding real confederacy, my boy.”
Others pointed to apparent double standards, noting, “Post Malone was a whole hip hop artist and yall say nothing about his crossover…” while another added, “Keith Urban is from Australia. Shania Twain and a few others are from Canada. They just don’t want to say the real reason out loud.”
A jokester noted, “How you gonna gate keep a genre you didn’t create.”
One final defender noted, “Black people made country music. Boy bye. I wanna see you top Beyoncé.”
View this post on InstagramA post shared by Gavin Adcock (@gavinadcockmusic)
Faced with mounting criticism, Adcock attempted to clarify his position through a follow-up Instagram post, revealing a more nuanced relationship with Beyoncé’s music than his stage rant suggested.
He acknowledged his childhood exposure to her work, recalling how his mother would play Beyoncé songs in the car and praising her past Super Bowl halftime performance.
However, he maintained his stance regarding “Cowboy Carter,” arguing that the album doesn’t sound or feel country to him. He also expressed concern that artists who have dedicated their lives to the genre shouldn’t have to compete with an album that stays at the top “just because she’s Beyoncé.”
Adcock’s comments come against the backdrop of Beyoncé’s own complicated history with country music institutions.
The inspiration for “Cowboy Carter” stemmed from an experience where she “did not feel welcomed” by the country music establishment, likely referring to her 2016 Country Music Association Awards performance of “Daddy Lessons” alongside the group then known as the Dixie Chicks.
That CMA performance faced significant backlash, and despite the success of “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé was notably shut out of nominations for the same awards show.
The controversy extends beyond individual artists to broader questions about country music’s relationship with its Black roots and contemporary gatekeeping.
Even media personalities outside the music industry have weighed in, with far-right commentator Megyn Kelly dismissing Beyoncé’s achievements and criticizing her interpretation of “Jolene” as representing what she called “modern-day feminism.” Kelly argued that people shouldn’t treat Beyoncé like “the second coming” and took issue with political figures celebrating the album’s success.
“Cowboy Carter” features collaborations with established country artists like Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, who publicly endorsed Beyoncé’s interpretation of her classic “Jolene.”

Adcock, whose hits include “A Cigarette” and “Four Leaf Clover,” is preparing to release his new album “My Own Worst Enemy” in August and is set to open for Morgan Wallen on several tour dates.
As this latest chapter in country music’s ongoing identity crisis unfolds, it reveals tensions about who gets to define authenticity in a genre with deep roots in Black musical traditions. While Adcock may question Beyoncé’s place in country music, her record-breaking success suggests that audiences are ready for a more expansive definition of what country music can be.
‘There Were Like 15 Cop Cars’: Delaware Cops Arrest Black Women and Children at Gunpoint After Falsely Accusing Them of Stealing Their Own Car, Shocking Video Shows
In another example of police incompetence, Delaware cops pulled over a car and ordered all the Black occupants out at gunpoint Saturday night, including two women and four children, accusing them of driving in a stolen car.
But the Dover police officers never bothered to check the registration, which would have confirmed the woman driving the car was the actual owner.
Instead, they transported the two women to the precinct along with the four children, locking each woman in a separate cell along with the 14-year-old boy, who was also locked in a separate cell. The three younger children, 8-year-old twin girls and a 3-year-old girl, were placed inside a children’s room.
Dover police in Delaware handcuffed and arrested two Black women and four Black children on false accusations they were driving a stolen car. (Photo: tiktok.com/@hopeyorkwilson and City of Dover)Then, five minutes later, the cops realized their mistake and released the five individuals, with one cop telling the women the false arrest was not based on racial profiling but officer safety.
But Hope York, the 33-year-old mother of the four children who posted videos of the unlawful detainment to TikTok, where they have gone viral, is not buying that excuse.
“The officer said, ‘I want you to know this had nothing to do with race. It’s just that we are dying in the streets and I have a family to go to,” York explained in an exclusive interview with Atlanta Black Star on Tuesday.
But York has no doubt it was based on race, because earlier in the evening at the traffic stop, another cop tried to justify the unlawful detainment of her family by using the same argument after she questioned why they felt the need to handcuff her son.
“I was telling them my son is 14 and an honors student and just graduated, and they said, ‘Who gives a f-ck about him,’” she said.
“And one cop said to me, ‘Have you not watched the news lately? White officers are dying. These Black kids, 10 and 11, are carrying guns and they’re killing us.”
For the record, 40 cops have died in the line of duty in 2025, including 20 who were shot and killed, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.
Meanwhile, 540 citizens have been killed by cops this year, with Black people getting killed at a rate of 2.8 times compared to white people, according to Mapping Police Violence.
“I told him my kids are traumatized and we didn’t deserve that,” York said.
The cop responded by threatening to issue her a ticket for a seatbelt violation if she did not leave the precinct immediately, she said.
The ArrestYork and her friend and the four children had just driven to a Chinese restaurant to pick up dinner when they were pulled over by a multitude of police cars. The cops ordered her friend to step out of the vehicle and walk backward toward them.
“There were like 15 cop cars, and they had the vehicle surrounded,” York said. “I noticed the street was blocked off. I told my son, who was in the back seat, to start recording.”
The cops then ordered York out of the car, ordering her to walk backward to them, where they placed handcuffs on her. Then they did the same to her son.
And then she said the cops pulled guns on the three remaining children in the car, ordering them to step outside. Video recorded from inside the car shows the kids were crying, not realizing what was happening.
“I still have no idea what is going on because they never told us anything,” she said. “I did not understand why they had the guns or and were handcuffing us.”
She said the cops refused to inform her why they were being detained, but threatened to have child protective services take her children at the precinct.
The cops eventually told them the car had been reported stolen, which came as a shock to the two women.
“I said there is no way this car is stolen because I remember the day she bought it,” York said. “I got pictures of her on my phone buying it.”
After about an hour in handcuffs, they learned that the traffic stop was a result of her friend’s mother calling the police a few weeks earlier on her 15-year-old son, who took her keys after an argument in New York City.
The mother reported the set of keys stolen, but one of the keys was for her daughter’s car, which somehow got translated to a report of a stolen car.
York is now hoping to find an attorney to sue the Dover Police Department for their incompetence, racism, and unlawful detainment.
‘Just Stop’: Lauren Sánchez May Have ‘Bagged a Billionaire’ But Her New Look Has Fans Telling Her to Stop Messing With Her Face
Lauren Sánchez has removed all traces of her life before becoming Mrs. Bezos from social media, but she cannot erase past images from every corner of the internet. Presumably, nearly all facets of her life have undergone major upgrades since she and Jeff Bezos launched their romance in 2019.
The couple tied the knot in a multimillion-dollar wedding in Venice, Italy, on June 27. Sánchez’s Instagram account was cleared except for two posts taken on the big day. In one snapshot the newlyweds beamed with joy after saying I do, and in the others she was photographed in the bridal suite before walking down the aisle.

On X, a user resurfaced a photo of the former “Good Day LA” host from 2004 at “The Bourne Supremacy” world premiere in Hollywood. The flashback was used to compare the transformation of her face with a red carpet moment at the 11th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in April 2025.
“Women. Please stop doing this to yourselves,” the user wrote. Among onlookers’ observations deemed too far gone were her “duck lips,” excessive fillers and Botox that have altered the appearance of her cheekbones, and her enhanced bust.

Elsewhere online, the evolution of Sánchez’s beauty prompted a critic to comment, “She looks a whole mess and a half. I know we get older but aging coupled with ongoing procedures over the years looks horrible. Why didn’t she just leave her face alone and do minor procedures?”

President Donald Trump let loose on Democratic Sen. Chris Coons in an angry early morning rant Monday on his Truth Social platform after Coons suggested over the weekend that the president is considering a nuclear deal with Iran similar to the one the Obama administration had brokered.
Recent news reports indicate the Trump administration is deciding on a $30 billion deal with Tehran that would allow for the development of civilian nuclear facilities, according to reporting from The Hill.
“I’ll just note that President Trump by press accounts is now moving toward negotiation and offering Iran a deal that looks somewhat similar to the Iran deal that was offered by Obama: tens of billions of dollars of incentives and reduced sanctions in exchange for abandoning their nuclear program,” Coons said in an interview on Fox News Sunday.

(Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)Trump lashed out, denying there’s any deal in the works.
“Tell phony Democrat Senator Chris Coons that I am not offering Iran ANYTHING, unlike Obama, who paid them $Billions under the stupid ‘road to a Nuclear Weapon JCPOA (which would now be expired!).'”
Trump rejected the idea that he had any communication with the authoritarian regime, revealing that he’s not “even talking to them since we totally OBLITERATED their Nuclear Facilities.”
Coons later fired back on social media with a clip of his Fox interview on X, “Apparently, President Trump really doesn’t like this clip about how his desired Iran nuclear deal is a reheated version of the same deal he pulled us out of.
The president tried to debunk the reporting in a post Friday, “Who in the Fake News Media is the SleazeBag saying that ‘President Trump wants to give Iran $30 Billion to build non-military Nuclear facilities.’ Never heard of this ridiculous idea,” he wrote on Truth Social.
The Obama administration, along with the European Union and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, signed a treaty with Iran in 2015 called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, before Trump’s first term in office. The agreement ended some sanctions against Tehran in exchange for its dismantling of critical infrastructure, allowing international monitoring of its nuclear sites, restrictions on enrichment capabilities and an end to new research.
Trump trashed the deal in 2018, saying at the time it “was one of the worst and most one-sided transactions the United States has ever entered into.”

— Senator Chris Coons (@ChrisCoons) June 30, 2025Trump has tried to broker a new deal with Iran’s authoritarian regime since returning to office, but talks stalled in early June as Israel raised the alarm that Tehran was within days of having a nuclear weapon. (U.S. intelligence agencies dispute Israel’s contention.)
Then, despite Trump’s warnings, Israel launched an unprecedented attack on Iran’s nuclear sites, air defense systems, and military leaders, killing its top generals and nuclear scientists, and destroying a large swath of military infrastructure, but not its nuclear capabilities.
In a surprise move and after several days of threats, Trump ordered the U.S. military to bomb three nuclear sites in Iran just over a week ago.
That didn’t stop the military conflict between Israel and Tehran, but several days later, Trump helped bring an end to the fighting through a fragile ceasefire.
Coons also called on the Trump administration to give Congress a “full intelligence picture” of the impact of the U.S. bombings in Iran. It’s still unclear what the exact damage was to Tehran’s nuclear program.
‘Self-Defense Is Absurd’: Outrage Erupts as White Lifeguard Shoots 15-Year-Old Black Boy in the Back and Wounds His Friend, a Relative of Laquan McDonald; Families Say It Was a Racial Execution
A Chicago lifeguard has been charged with the murder and attempted murder of two Black teenage boys – one of whom is the cousin of Laquan McDonald – after opening fire on a group of teenagers near a swimming pool.
Authorities charged Charles Leto, 55, with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated discharge of a firearm in connection with a fatal shooting at Douglass Park on June 26.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, police say that Marjay Dotson, 15, and his friend, Jeremy Herred, 14, were among a group of friends standing near Leto as he was fixing his bike.
Charles Leto is accused of shooting two Black teens, killing one. (Photos: YouTube screenshot/ABC 7 Chicago)When a couple of boys approached Leto, he whipped out a gun and opened fire.
Leto’s defense attorney said the boy provoked the lifeguard and was only defending himself after the teenagers had threatened him and said they were going to steal his bike.
Surveillance video obtained by WGN-TV shows the moments Leto suddenly grabbed and aimed a handgun at one of two boys who approached him.
“The shooter’s backpack was attached to his bike somehow, and he took the backpack off his bike, turned the bike upside down, pulled out the handgun, and then everybody who was in the area just started to turn and run,” attorney Jeff Neslund said.
Witnesses say Dotson was closest to Leto when he started shooting. After hitting him in the back, Leto then turned his gun on Herred and shot him in the neck.
Both boys were rushed to the hospital, where Dotson was pronounced dead.
Herred had to undergo surgery to treat his wounds and is reportedly still in critical condition. The 14-year-old is the cousin of Laquan McDonald, a 17-year-old boy who was fatally shot 16 times by former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke in 2014.
Family attorneys say that doctors are concerned Herred might sustain brain damage due to the extent of his injuries.
Leto claimed that he acted in self-defense.
“Those two kids attacked me and followed me. … I defended myself, I have a license,” Leto stated, according to a police report.
Attorneys for the boys’ families are now calling for prosecutors to consider hate crime charges since the shooter is white and both boys are Black.
“To claim self-defense is absurd when people are running away from you, they’re unarmed, they’re teenagers. So, again, it just boggles my mind,” Neslund said.
Family members also want to know why Leto would resort to such devastating violence.
“It’s all at the hands of this one individual who chose to bring a weapon to work at a place where he has made a pledge and a vow to save lives,” said Rev. Marvin Hunter, a relative of Herred and Laquan McDonald, per CBS News. “At least we now know that this person that has done this thing will not just go free.”
Leto was hired by the Chicago Park District in 2023 as a seasonal lifeguard. He was placed on an unpaid, emergency suspension, according to reports. Even though Leto has a concealed-carry license, he violated park district policy by bringing that gun to work, prosecutors said.
In a statement, attorneys for Dotson’s and Herred’s families said:
There is no justification or excuse for this heinous criminal act by an employee of the Chicago Park District. While no amount of justice can ever restore Marjay’s life or fully heal Jeremy’s wounds, the families take solemn relief that the justice system is now engaged with the announcement of criminal charges against the shooter. They stand firm in their belief that through the diligent work of prosecutors and the courts, justice will be served. In this time of collective heartbreak, the families extend their gratitude to the first responders, including local football coaches at the park, all the medical care providers, the Chicago Police Department, and community members who have shown compassion and solidarity.
The deadly shooting is not the first time the Chicago man has been involved in a shooting.
According to WLS, Leto allegedly shot a woman’s two dogs in 2023 and killed one of them. He also claimed self-defense at the time and was not charged.
‘They Let Themselves Go’: Serena Williams and Husband Alexis Ohanian Vacation Pics Go Viral As Fans Zoom In Their Weight Gain
Retired American tennis legend Serena Williams, 43, traveled to Europe for a family trip with her husband and children.
Williams was photographed vacationing on a yacht off the coast of the Italian island of Sardinia. She was joined by her 42-year-old spouse, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.
The wealthy, globe-trotting couple’s two daughters, 7-year-old Olympia and 1-year-old Adira, were also on the luxury boat docked in the Mediterranean Sea.
Fans have a lot to say about Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s bodies as they vacation in Europe. (Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for W+P)Williams had on a black bikini and green tank top. Ohanian hit the deck in black swimming trunks with his bare chest out. Pics of the pair generated mixed reactions online.
“Both put on a bit of weight,” wrote a Daily Mail reader about Ohanian and Williams. A second stated, “Those two need to get back in shape. They are too young to let themselves go like that.”
Similarly, someone wrote in the comment section, “As multimillionaires, they let themselves go… I’m sure they have a gym at home and private chefs… No excuse to being obese.” Additionally, one individual suggested, “Looks like Alexis needs to go on a diet.”

— Daily Mail Australia (@DailyMailAU) June 30, 2025In contrast, a Williams and Ohanian defender fired back, “The comments about their bodies are vile. Do you realize that ad hominem attacks are the sign of a weak mind? Until you grasp that, you will not be happy in life.”
“People commenting she looks fat, flabby, with no muscle tone. She is now a mum running a business and retired from professional tennis, so does not have to keep a rigorous cross fitness/strength training plan. She looks healthy. As for the hubby, well, that’s another matter, but they both seem content,” expressed another commenter.
Ohanian got engaged to Williams in December 2016. Their first-born child, Olympia, arrived in September 2017. The 23-time Grand Slam champion and the technology entrepreneur officially tied the knot in November of that year.
Williams gave birth to their second daughter, Adira, in August 2023. Fast-forward to 2025, and the family of four spent time in France for the summer. Both Serena and Alexis documented the experience on their respective Instagram pages.

The Williams-Ohanian household has a combined 19.6 million followers on Instagram. Serena is in the lead with 18.1 million followers. Alexis has 923,000 followers on the platform, while Olympia adds another 630,000 followers to the family’s total.
On July 1, Serena shared a short clip of Olympia pulling up her mother’s skirt to cover the two-time French Open winner’s stomach as she was filming from a boat in front of a scenic landscape.
Williams shouted out her oldest daughter’s verified Instagram account in the caption, writing, “@OlympiaOhanian always keeping me in check! Someone please let her know it’s #summer?”
On June 30, Ohanian posted a recap from Cannes, France, on his Instagram page. Serena and Olympia appear in the video. Olympic gold medal-winning sprinter Noah Lyles also made a cameo.

Ohanian’s caption read, “Another great Cannes Lions in the books. I caught up with old friends, met a few future legends, talked shop, and brought together some great dinners with a diverse range of leaders to show them what we believed will be the future of sport.”
The venture capitalist continued, “We’re all building something—and the right room can change everything. Grateful to bring in our leaders from Chelsea FC Women, ATHLOS, LAGC, and more.”
Ohanian led an ownership group to purchase the American professional soccer team Angel City Football Club. Plus, he launched Athlos, a women-focused track and field league. In May 2025, he acquired an 8-10 percent stake in the London-based Chelsea Football Club Women.
“As Founding Control Owner of Angel City FC, I’ve seen the opportunity to create and grow a worldwide brand within women’s football, and I’m confident Chelsea FC Women is the next global women’s sports brand,” said Ohanian.
Detroit Gas Station Clerk Who Shot Black Man Through Locked Door Over Beef Jerky Claimed He ‘Had No Idea’ How the Bullet Fired and Pleaded for Mercy; The Judge Had Other Plans
A Detroit gas station clerk will spend decades behind bars for fatally shooting a man after escalating a dispute over beef jerky.
Moad Mohamed Al-Gaham was sentenced to 20 to 50 years in jail for second-degree murder, WDIV reported.
Moad Mohamed Al-Gaham was sentenced to 20 to 50 years in prison for fatally shooting 25-year-old Anthony McGary at a Detroit gas station. (Photo: Screenshot/WDIV/Detroit Police Department)Al-Gaham shot 25-year-old Anthony McNary in the forehead on June 5, 2023, at an ExxonMobil station in Detroit after the clerk caught him pocketing some beef jerky.
Al-Gaham went through McNary’s pockets, retrieved the jerky, and placed it back on the shelf. At that point, McNary offered to pay for the jerky, but Al-Gaham refused and forced him out of the convenience store.
Al-Gaham locked the doors to the store after seeing McNary out to prevent McNary from re-entering.
Surveillance video showed McNary standing outside the doors when Al-Gaham charges toward the entrance with a gun in hand, aims at his forehead, and shoots the 25-year-old through the glass.
McNary was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was unarmed at the time of the shooting.
Police said Al-Gaham did not have a license for the gun he used. Police launched an investigation into Al-Gaham for another shooting in 2022 in which he kicked a customer out of the store, then fired a shot after the customer got too close to his car, according to CBS News.
Before the judge issued her sentence, Al-Gaham spoke to the family and the court through a translator.
“I apologize to the family,” he began. “I apologize to the mother. I am very remorseful. I swear to God I have no plan to harm him.” As his emotions get the better of him, he adds, “My intention was to get him scared, to get him away. I have no idea how the bullet got out of the firearm. I see nightmares, every day, every night. I see him in my nightmares.”
Al-Gaham asked for forgiveness and pleaded with the court for “mercy.” Defense requested sentencing at the bottom of the guidelines for 12 years. The people asked the judge to depart from the guidelines and issue a harsher sentence. The judge chose neither.
After the sentencing, McNary’s family released a statement:
“We are grateful for the jury’s verdict and the judge’s sentence today of 20 to 50 years for Mr. Al-Gaham. Nothing will bring our Anthony back to us and we miss him so much, but today gives us some sense of justice.”
The attorneys representing McNary’s family members called Al-Gaham’s actions “horrific,” adding that they “demonstrate a complete disregard for the safety of our community.”
A $100 million lawsuit has also been filed against ExxonMobil.
‘Holy Moly’: Ivanka Trump’s Family Photo Takes an Unexpected Turn as Fans Zoom In and Can’t Believe How Tall Her Daughter Is
Ivanka Trump inherited an opulent life of luxury and access from her father, Donald Trump, and now her children get to experience it too. The former fashion designer, 43; her husband, Jared Kushner, 44; and their kids, Arabella, 13, Joseph, 10, and Theodore, 8, have been making the most of the warmer weather.
She posted a photo dump from their various experiences throughout June in an Instagram carousel captioned, “Bye, June!” Last month, the couple were among the guests who attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s Venice, Italy, wedding on June 27.

Her followers, though, were most interested in the picture-perfect moments captured of her and the Kushner-Trump brood. “Gorgeous and beautiful family,” one person gushed. A second individual commented, “Holy moly, how tall is your daughter now!”
A third complimented Ivanka’s parental guidance when they wrote, “I love the clothes you pick out for your daughter. Age appropriate and demure.”

Multiple others, though, shared snide reactions to the collection of images. “Once again tone deaf AF,” a critic quipped. Another typed, “Holy nepo.” A few comments were rooted in speculation that a photo of land surrounded by teal water was the couple’s newly purchased island.
The duo is reportedly investing $1.4 billion to turn a base on the site into a luxury resort. A disgruntled Instagram user remarked, “That rich and wealthy and still getting free buildings from the third world countries.”

‘How Is This Legal?’: Trump’s Latest Luxury Fragrance Sparks Outrage, Then Critics Spot a Tiny Disclaimer on the Company’s Website That Raises Even More Eyebrows
A gold bust of Donald Trump perched atop a perfume bottle might sound like a bad joke — but it’s a real thing, and now a sitting president is urging his followers to buy it for themselves and their loved ones.
“Trump Fragrances are here,” Trump posted Monday on his platform Truth Social. “They’re called ‘Victory 45-47’ because they’re all about Winning, Strength, and Success — For men and women. Get yourself a bottle, and don’t forget to get one for your loved ones too. Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!”
The perfume and cologne, marketed under the “Victory 45-47” label, come with a steep price tag: $199 for each 100ml bottle, reports said. A version topped with a gold statue of Trump will cost $249. The scents are described as bold and confident—designed for people who lead with “strength” and “unstoppable determination.”

(Photo by Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images)The launch is just the latest in a long string of Trump-branded fragrances. He first entered the perfume market in 2004 with a scent released in partnership with Estée Lauder. A decade later came “Empire by Trump.” Most recently, the “Fight, Fight, Fight” line debuted last year alongside “Victory 47,” both aimed at capitalizing on Trump’s political brand.
Though questions have long swirled about the ethics of profiting off the presidency, Trump’s fragrance venture is another reminder that no legal barriers are currently stopping him from cashing in on his political brand. And with Republicans in control of the House and Senate, there’s little appetite in Washington to impose any guardrails — effectively giving Trump free rein to blend business with the presidency.
Still, critics say the setup gives Trump all the upside with none of the accountability. The operation is built to keep his name front and center, while a third-party company handles the sales — avoiding direct financial ties to the White House or his businesses.
Yet many argue that, through murky backchannels, Trump is still managing to turn a profit.
The store behind the perfumes is run by the same company that sells Trump Sneakers and Trump Bibles. It’s not officially affiliated with Trump or his campaign, despite the heavy use of his name and image. A small disclaimer on the site reads: “Trump Fragrances are not designed, manufactured, distributed, or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, or any of their respective affiliates or principals.”
Trump’s new fragrance sent social media into a frenzy — with many mocking the product, the price, and the branding.

— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) June 30, 2025“Just spent my entire life saving on his new phone service. Going to take out a few payday loans to get this new fragrance,” joked X user Burt Macklin.
“You are a complete f—ing loser if you buy this,” added Drew Logan.
Fred Wellman, host of the podcast “On Democracy,” re-shared Trump’s post, dryly writing: “Thank you for your attention.”
Journalist Aaron Rupar labeled the announcement “new frontiers of grifting,” while Mehdi Hasan, founder of Zeteo and former MSNBC host, asked, “How is this legal?”
Some blamed Trump’s avid followers for fueling his grifting ways. “It never ends. Trump is in office to get rich of his brainless cult following and just like little dummies, they oblige,” wrote one user.
Other users pointed out inconsistencies and irony in the marketing: “No refunds. Expensive as hell. This is so damn embarrassing. Oh, and they put men’s perfume and women’s cologne… I wonder how long it will take those bigots to recognize that.”

— Autism Mom (@mom4autism) June 30, 2025“Those prices are wild,” another person wrote, adding that some of the fragrances were already sold out and marked for Christmas delivery.
And one user nitpicked the branding: “Shouldn’t it be ‘45,47’ and not ‘45-47’?”
Despite the backlash, the fragrance line appears to be doing brisk business, underscoring Trump’s enduring appeal to a loyal customer base willing to pay for his high-end products.
Trump has steadily ramped up his promotion of luxury merchandise, a move seen by critics as an effort to offset hundreds of millions of dollars in unpaid legal fees.
In September, Trump unveiled a collection of “Trump Watches” priced at $100,000, adding to his growing list of expensive products, which included $100 silver coins — priced well above their market value — 1,000 pairs of limited-edition gold sneakers, $60 Trump-branded Bibles, and NFT trading cards. He also marketed an earlier line of cologne and perfume branded as “Victory,” priced at $119, shortly after Election Day.
Last year, Trump sold digital trading cards featuring his infamous mug shot at the Fulton County Jail in August 2023. The deal included a bonus offer for a piece of the suit he wore when he turned himself in following his indictment on charges related to his alleged attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.
Trump’s venture into musical instruments led to a cease-and-desist order from Gibson Guitars in late November, claiming that his design for the “Limited Edition ‘45’ Guitar” violated their exclusive trademarks, specifically the iconic Les Paul body shape.
Back in May, Trump sold seats to an exclusive dinner at his Northern Virginia golf Club, where the guest list featured dozens of A-list celebrities and wealthy investors who reportedly poured more than a million dollars apiece into Trump’s latest cryptocurrency venture.
Former President Barack Obama took direct aim at Trump and his Republican allies in April, accusing them of turning a blind eye to constitutional abuses they would’ve fiercely condemned if committed by him during his eight years as commander in chief.
“Imagine if I had done any of this,” Obama said, calling out conservatives who continue to give Trump a pass to skirt the rule of law without consequence. “If I had done even a fraction of this, the outrage would’ve been deafening,” Obama said. “But when it’s someone from your tribe, suddenly the Constitution is optional,” he added, referring to Republican silence amid Trump’s chaos.
‘Scumbag POS’: Florida Man Spits In Black Deputy’s Face After Repeatedly Screaming the N-Word — But It’s the Officer’s Reaction That Has Viewers Sounding Off
Bodycam footage of a Florida man who was recently jailed for shoplifting shows him spitting on a Black deputy and calling him the N-word multiple times.
Sheriff Mike Chitwood of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office posted the now-viral footage on social media that shows the vitriolic remarks made by 40-year-old Troy Green during his arrest on June 17.
Troy Green, 40, was seen in bodycam footage spitting on a Black deputy and repeatedly calling him racial slurs after he was arrested for shoplifting at a Florida convenience store. (Photo: Facebook/Volusia County Sheriff’s Office)“Allow me to introduce you to a dime a dozen, scumbag POS who got caught shoplifting and let his mouth show us who he is,” the sheriff wrote on Facebook. “Kudos to this Deputy for his professionalism in spite of the trash flowing from the mouth of TROY EDWARD GREEN, 40, Ormond Beach.”
In the video, Green is seen threatening a deputy placing him in the back of a patrol car.
“Listen, I’m gonna tell you something right now m—f—. If you put your hands on me again, b—h, I will knock you the f— out,” Green states.
Green’s invective-laden rant quickly escalates to full-blown racist insults as he calls the deputy a “f—king piece of s— n—r.”
“Because that’s what the f—k you are,” Green adds.
Then, Green smiles and says “n—r a— m—f—r,” and spits on the deputy’s face.
The deputy immediately subdues Green and pushes him away to prevent further assault.
Even so, Green continues hurling his insults: “You’re a f—king n—r.”
Moments later, as the deputy tries to strap Green into the backseat, the 40-year-old assumes that since the deputy “put his hands” on him, his charges will be dropped.
He laughs with a spit mask over his face and continues to call the deputy the N-word.
“I won, n—r,” Green states repeatedly. “I’m gonna call you n—r all day long because that’s what you are. … Next time, leave f—king white people alone.”
According to an arrest report cited by WRBW, Green was seen going in and out of a convenience store for two hours.
He purchased a hot dog, but surveillance video showed that he also stuffed cheese sticks, alcoholic beverages, and other snacks into his pants and under his shirt.
During his transport to jail, deputies reported that he banged his head against the backseat cage of the patrol car and somehow rotated his handcuffs to the front of his body.
The report states that during the racist assault against one of the deputies, his spit landed on the officer’s chin. Green later stated that he spit on the deputy because he was “pissed.”
Green was charged with petit theft and battery on a law enforcement officer. His bond was set at $5,150.
According to Sheriff Chitwood, Green’s mother later contacted the sheriff’s office to apologize on behalf of her son for the remarks he made.
“Yesterday I heard from his mother, who reached out to apologize and unequivocally disavow her son’s behavior toward our deputies: ‘They do not deserve to be treated like they were. I would like to apologize to them for my son’s behavior. I did not raise him to be this way,'” the sheriff posted on Facebook. “As parents, we can only do so much. At some point (well before they turn 40 like Troy), our kids have to stand alone on their own 2 feet and accept accountability. I can only hope the justice system makes that happen in this case.”
While the sheriff praised his deputy’s professionalism, viewers were not as forgiving. Many joked that he should’ve been “taken to the train station” — a Yellowstone reference to quietly getting rid of someone who’s crossed the line.
“Too bad for cameras everywhere. I’m sure there’s a nice set of stairs somewhere he could have fallen down,” one user wrote.
Another added, “Oh, that cop has the patience of a saint. I don’t, he would’ve definitely gotten hit multiple times after he spit. I suppose that’s why I’m not a cop but also his comment that he won. What a joke.”
‘It’s Pathetic at This Point’: Furious Critics Demand Elon Musk Stop Whining and Expose His Alleged Role In Trump’s Rise or ‘Shut Up’ As the Beef Between the Two Ex-Buds Heats Up
Elon Musk escalated his war of words with Republican lawmakers on Monday, threatening to bankroll primary challengers against those who support President Donald Trump’s multi-trillion-dollar spending bill.
“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame,” Musk posted on X. “And they will lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”
The billionaire’s threat came just hours before the Senate was set to vote on the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” which would raise the federal debt ceiling by $5 trillion and cause millions to lose Medicare. A version of the legislation already passed the House in May, but it must clear the lower chamber again before heading to Trump’s desk.

After officially leaving his role as head of Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, Musk has repeatedly attacked the bill, calling it “utterly insane” and warning it would damage the economy while gutting clean energy incentives.
“The latest Senate draft bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause immense strategic harm to our country!” Musk wrote on Saturday. “Utterly insane and destructive. It gives handouts to industries of the past while severely damaging industries of the future.”
Once a major backer of Trump—contributing more than $250 million through his America PAC—Musk has turned sharply against the president in recent weeks, especially over spending policy. He also took aim at the House Freedom Caucus on Monday, calling out Republican Congressmen Chip Roy of Texas and Andy Harris of Maryland for backing the House version of the bill.
“How can you call yourself the Freedom Caucus if you vote for a DEBT SLAVERY bill with the biggest debt ceiling increase in history?” Musk posted, aiming to counter the public pressure that lawmakers currently face from Trump.
As of late Monday, the Senate had been locked in a lengthy series of amendment votes on the bill, with the pace finally picking up after hours of delays. The process stalled earlier as lawmakers awaited rulings from the parliamentarian, and as Majority Leader John Thune, of South Dakota, worked behind the scenes to secure support from several undecided Republicans, including at least two moderates and three conservatives.
Late Monday, a group of conservatives met with Thune after their push to add deeper Medicaid cuts failed to gain traction. On the floor, Democrats have continued to offer amendments to force Republicans into tough votes on the sweeping legislation, according to The Hill.
With a narrow margin for error, Republicans can lose no more than three votes. Sens. Thom Tillis, of North Carolina, and Rand Paul, of Kentucky, are already expected to vote no — with Tillis opposed to Medicaid cuts, and Paul drawing a line over the $5 trillion debt ceiling increase.
The House is expected to return midweek for a final vote. The White House, which endorsed the Senate version on Saturday, issued a warning to GOP holdouts: “President Trump is committed to keeping his promises, and failure to pass this bill would be the ultimate betrayal.”
Back on his social media platform, Musk dug in further, ridiculing both parties and floating the idea of launching a new political force.
“It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!” he wrote. “Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.”
In another post Monday evening, he doubled down.
“If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.”
If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day.
Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE.
The tech mogul had previously hinted at starting a third party during a public fallout with Trump earlier in June. At the time, he polled his followers on whether it was time to create a new political party “that actually represents the 80% in the middle.”
The dispute between Musk and Trump escalated after the bill’s release in early June, when the Tesla CEO blasted it for eliminating tax credits for electric vehicles. Their feud escalated when Musk accused the Trump administration of hiding information about the late Jeffrey Epstein. He later deleted the accusation and signaled interest in reconciling.
Still, Musk’s opposition to the spending package remains firm.
On Sunday, he called the legislation “utterly insane” and “a strategic disaster,” arguing it would saddle the country with unsustainable debt while undermining industries of the future, including clean tech.
The spending bill in question raises the debt ceiling by $5 trillion and removes federal subsidies for renewable energy projects, which Musk argues will hurt innovation and economic competitiveness.
A spokesperson for America PAC, Musk’s main political vehicle, declined to comment. Musk funneled nearly $240 million through the group last year, most of it in support of Trump’s reelection campaign.
Musk had earlier indicated he would scale back his political contributions, but his posts Monday suggested a reversal. With a vast personal fortune at his disposal, he has the means to support challengers in GOP primaries nationwide.
His latest vow to defeat Republican incumbents marks his most direct political threat yet, reflecting a growing rift between the billionaire and Trump.
Amid the simmering feud, the president floated the idea of deporting the Tesla CEO back to South Africa.
“We’ll have to take a look,” Trump said after a reporter asked whether he would consider deporting Musk. “We might have to put DOGE on Elon. You know what DOGE is? DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn’t that be terrible? He gets a lot of subsidies.”
Reporter: Are you going to deport Elon Musk?

Trump also attributed Musk’s anger to the loss of the electric vehicle tax credit mandates.
“He can lose a lot more than that,” the president added.

While many MAGA followers are taking Trump’s side in the ongoing dispute between the president and the tech billionaire, some critics are urging Musk to take action or remain silent.
“Hey @elonmusk, wanna get rid of Trump quickly? Disclose details of how you helped him win the elections, face the consequences, and save the country. Or just shut up. It’s pathetic at this point,” said the user behind an anti-MAGA X account.

— Evan (@daviddunn177) July 1, 2025‘I Was Like…You Get a 2 Drink Max’: Dwyane Wade Sparks Backlash After He Says He Tried to ‘Control’ Gabrielle Union Early On Until He Realized She ‘Works’ Just as Hard
Former NBA champion Dwyane Wade is facing a wave of criticism from fans after revealing his non-traditional approach to marriage roles during a recent media appearance.
The basketball legend’s candid comments about rejecting the “man leads, woman follows” dynamic in his relationship with actress Gabrielle Union have ignited fierce online debates, with many questioning whether his progressive stance undermines masculine authority in relationships.

The couple, who are preparing to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary this summer, used the platform to discuss how their partnership has evolved since their 2014 wedding.
“It’s not my job to change who she is, it’s my job to be a part of the evolution,” Wade explained to host Cheslie Kryst, earning an immediate compliment from Union who called his statement “deep.”
Wade elaborated on his transformed mindset, acknowledging past mistakes in their relationship. “You know, in relationships, we come in and we try to change people — we try to change them to the way that we want them to be. But I decided to start taking a different approach,” he said.
The three-time NBA champion admitted his initial controlling behavior had backfired spectacularly.
“You know, in this relationship, I think early on, I came in like, ‘Hey, you get 2 drink max — bop bop bop bop.’ And she didn’t respond well to that,” Wade confessed, with Union immediately confirming, “No, I did not.”
While Wade acknowledged there were underlying reasons for his concerns, he recognized that his approach was flawed.
Wade’s most striking revelation came when he directly challenged traditional gender roles.
“It’s not ‘the man leads and the woman follows.’ That’s not what we live in this house, you know?” he declared.
Adding, “So for me, I have a wife that works — just, not just as hard — harder than I do. And she had her own career, she had her own life before I came along. So from my perspective, how can I be a part of the growth and the evolution of who she is — and not trying to change her, or stunt her growth, or make her in the way that I see fit?”
The response from fans was swift and polarizing. Critics flooded social media with harsh commentary questioning Wade’s masculinity and leadership abilities.
One particularly pointed comment asked, “How is a man leading in a relationship a bad thing??” while another suggested that Union had somehow manipulated Wade, asking “What kinda VooDoo Gabby put on DWade man?”
The backlash escalated to the point where one critic dramatically declared, “On behalf of all stand up men and the State of Illinois. We don’t claim D. Wade no more.”
However, not all responses were negative.
Supporters defended the couple’s approach, with one commenter stated, “So much ignorance, hate, and fear in the comments, what about equality scares y’all so damn much?! by the way I managed to write this comment without the guidance of a man, shocking I know.”
Another said, “I totally agree with Dwayne. This relationship works for them. They are happy.. Stop judging ppl. How is your relationship going?”
The controversy surrounding Union’s financial dynamics with Wade takes on deeper meaning considering her evolving views. Despite Wade’s $170 million net worth dwarfing her estimated $40 million, Union previously insisted on a strict 50/50 split of their bills, a stance she now acknowledges stemmed from past trauma and fear of vulnerability.
Amid online scrutiny, Wade and Union focus their collaborative energy on creative projects celebrating their family. Their children’s book, “Shady Baby,” inspired by their spirited daughter Kaavia James, reflects this effort. Wade admitted challenges in working together, citing their strong personalities. Union highlighted Kaavia’s knack for “throwing shade” as pivotal to the book’s empowering message, teaching kids that such assertiveness can be a strength.
Wade’s approach extends to their blended family, which includes his children, Zaire, 23, and Zaya, 18, as well as a son, Xavier, 11, with Aja Metoyer, his nephew Dahveon Morris, and his youngest daughter with Union.
This unconventional setup rejects rigid family roles, reflecting their belief that love and support, not societal norms, define family success.
‘Had to Get Out’: Carrie Underwood Swarmed by Bees In Her Backyard Amid Ongoing Buzz About Her ‘American Idol’ Return
While social media has been buzzing with calls for Carrie Underwood to be removed as an American Idol judge, it was a very different kind of buzz that caught Underwood’s attention over the weekend; a literal swarm of bees in her backyard garden.
The country superstar shared the shocking moment on her IG story while picking blueberries. The post may have been lighthearted, but a new tabloid report suggests her real-life off-camera is anything but.
Screenshot of @carrieunderwood, IGThe 42-year-old singer is reportedly struggling with the demanding schedule that keeps her away from husband Mike Fisher and their two sons, Isaiah, 10, and Jacob, 6, for weeks at a time.
When Underwood stepped into Katy Perry’s shoes for season 23, it seemed like the perfect full-circle moment. Twenty years after her own “American Idol” victory launched her into country music stardom, she was back to guide the next generation alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. But what should have been a triumphant homecoming has turned into an emotional balancing act between career opportunities and family life, the report claims.
Life & Style claims it was told by a purported insider about just how tough the separation has been on Underwood.
“She’s on the road a lot. She’s missing her kids and Mike, which is very tough,” the tipster reportedly revealed.
“They FaceTime day and night and she flies home every spare moment she gets, but it’s not the same as just being there,” the source continued.
The constant travel supposedly has taken an emotional toll that goes beyond typical work stress. After grueling days of filming, Underwood finds herself alone in hotel rooms, drained from the emotional highs and lows of the competition while longing to be home reading bedtime stories instead of seeing her children through a phone screen, according to the tabloid.
Despite the family challenges, the same insider insists Underwood isn’t throwing in the towel just yet.
Carrie Underwood’s potential American Idol exit reportedly has nothing to do with fan backlash and everything to do with missing her family during filming.(Photo by Craig T Fruchtman/WireImage)She’s reportedly “nowhere near” giving up on the show that’s become both a massive paycheck and a source of genuine joy. The “Jesus Takes the Wheel” chart-topper loves working with her fellow judges and finds deep satisfaction in helping contestants navigate what she knows firsthand is a “really bewildering experience.”
However, Underwood’s judging tenure has been anything but smooth sailing. The season 23 finale sparked a firestorm when elementary school teacher Jamal Roberts was crowned champion, becoming the first Black male winner in over two decades.
While Richie and Bryan erupted in standing ovations during Roberts’ final performance, viewers noticed Underwood remained seated. The moment ignited accusations of bias and unfair treatment that quickly spread across social media platforms.
The backlash was swift and brutal.
Fans flooded Underwood’s Instagram posts with pointed criticism, accusing her of deleting negative comments that demanded her removal from the show. Some comments turned personal and political, while others simply expressed disappointment with a cutting “Ah, so disappointing.”
The controversy wasn’t helped by earlier incidents throughout the season, particularly when Underwood criticized Roberts for lacking “swag” and failing to work the stage effectively.
Roberts himself addressed the situation with diplomatic grace during a recent interview, highlighting the stark difference in how the judges treated him. While acknowledging that both Underwood and Bryan are country artists, he noted that Bryan provided unwavering support throughout his journey. The winner also pointed out what many saw as a troubling double standard, questioning why other contestants received golden tickets while wearing casual “cowboy boots” and “overalls” when his more polished performances faced criticism.
The Grammy winner’s response to the mounting pressure has been characteristically measured. The mother of two has long practiced a “post and ghost” approach to social media, a strategy she credits to Joe Rogan, prioritizing real-life responsibilities over online engagement. Since the finale controversy, she’s maintained radio silence on her platforms while her team has reportedly limited comments on existing posts.
Adding to the awkwardness was Underwood’s decision to name a baby lamb on her Tennessee farm “Jamal” in honor of Roberts during the season. Many found the gesture tone-deaf given the growing tension surrounding her treatment of the contestant.
Looking ahead, Underwood faces a scheduling nightmare that would challenge any working parent. A different music industry informant claims her 2025 calendar is “absolutely packed” with commitments, including her Las Vegas residency and various other gigs. There’s even buzz about a potential collaboration with fellow country singer Jelly Roll that could capitalize on their “American Idol” connection.
While the fan backlash and judging controversies have certainly added stress to her “American Idol” experience, those familiar with the situation believe her ultimate decision about returning for season 24 will come down to family priorities.
‘Eating Fast Food In a Furious Way’: Vin Diesel Shocks Fans with Unrecognizable Appearance Amid Noticeable Weight Gain
American actor Vin Diesel’s surprise pop-up at the 2025 FuelFest Los Angeles has fans sharing their takes on his change in appearance.
Diesel, 57, was on hand at the music festival and auto expo event at the Pomona Fairplex on June 28. He helped announce that the next “Fast & Furious” movie, tentatively titled “Fast X: Part 2,” will hit theaters in 2027.
In addition, Diesel informed “Fast & Furious” fans that the next chapter in the franchise will return to Los Angeles and the main plot will center on street racing again.
Diesel also shocked FuelFest attendees by confirming his Dom Toretto character will reunite with the late Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner character in the upcoming sequel.
Walker was killed in a car accident on Nov. 30, 2013, at the age of 40. He was in the middle of shooting “Furious 7” at the time of his death. Universal had to put the production of the motion picture on hold.
Once filming resumed, Paul’s brothers Caleb and Cody Walker were used as stand-ins for “Furious 7.” The filmmakers also relied on CGI to complete some scenes by digitally overlaying Paul’s face on other people’s bodies.

(Photo: @vindiesel/Instagram)“Just yesterday I was will Universal Studios,” Diesel told the FuelFest crowd. “The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious [in] April 2027?’ I said under three conditions.”
He continued, “The first is to bring the franchise back to LA. The second thing was to return to the car culture, to the street racing. … The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner. That is what you’re going to get in the finale!”

Diesel’s three-part announcement at FuelFest Los Angeles excited “Fast & Furious” enthusiasts around the world. However, some social media users were more interested in the One Race Film founder’s weight.
“He eats Fast and Furious!!!” joked a troll on the Instagram app. A second jokester commented, “Eating fast food in a furious way.” A third stated, “Vin lookin fluffy!”
One person suggested, “And the 4th thing… You need to relax on the late-night burgers and fries with a milkshake and cookies for dessert every night.”
Other responses took issue with the forthcoming“Fast & Furious” feature film. For instance, a critic expressed, “We are seven movies past where the series should have ended.”
“I thought the last movie was the finale [to be honest],” posted another unenthused Instagram commenter. Additionally, someone declared, “No, don’t bring Paul Walker’s character back. Let that man rest in peace.”

The original “The Fast and the Furious” premiered in 2001. In addition to Diesel and Walker, the first installment in the franchise starred Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, and Ted Levine.
Diesel went on to appear in “Fast & Furious,” “Fast Five,” “Fast & Furious 6,” “Furious 7,” “The Fate of the Furious,” “F9,” and “Fast X.” He also starred in, wrote, and directed the “Fast & Furious” short film titled “Los Bandolero.”
Before his passing, Walker was featured in “2 Fast 2 Furious,” “Fast & Furious,” “Fast Five,” “Fast & Furious 6,” and “Furious 7.” The former amateur boxer played Conner in “The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious” short film as well.
The “Fast & Furious” slate of flicks has grossed more than $7.2 billion at the global box office. “The Fate of the Furious” and “Furious 7” both crossed the $1 billion mark in lifetime gross. “Fast X: Part 2” is set to be the franchise’s final outing.
Atlanta-bred rapper Ludacris, who plays Tej Parker in the film series, also discussed the forthcoming eleventh entry. In 2024, he told People, “It’s almost like the beginning of something new, so I don’t feel like it’ll ever truly end either, but you never know.”
